Please note that our Freshman through Senior packages are Comprehensive packages meaning the student will continue to work with Gipson College Consulting until the end of their high school career. This way, Natalie is there to support the student all the way until they are off to college!

Bootcamps

Virtual Common App Essay Bootcamp

When: SUMMER OF 2023

Week of June 26th @ 7pm OR 

Week of July 10 @ 10 am


Schedule: 

Monday - group session, Tuesday - group session, Wednesday - One-on-One Meetings, Thursday - group session, Friday - One-on-One Meeting


Includes:

Bootcamp includes 3- 1 hour small group sessions and  2- 1 hour one on one sessions              

also includes                          

2 - 30 min one on one sessions to be scheduled at the students discretion for essay draft review and edits (must be completed by 9/15)


Cost: $750

This Boot Camp will Cover

  • purpose of Personal Statement and where it fits within the entire application
  • What is important to convey in the Personal Statement
  • Review and dissection of successful Personal Statements
  • How to brainstorm Values Exercises, Write Values Vignette, Essence Objective Exercise
  • Topic Formation
  • First Draft preparation

COLLEGE ADMISSIONS WORKSHOP

     Most recommend and popular way of introducing parents and students to the process. 

It is a 2 hour workshop offered monthly from September to April that covers the following topics:

  • CHOOSING THE RIGHT COLLEGE -  Socially, Academically and Financially
  • THE COLLEGE SEARCH PROCESS 
  • HIGH SCHOOL ACTIVITIES - Curriculum, Extracurriculars, Work, Service
  • COLLEGE VISITS  
  • DEMONSTRATED INTEREST - When to visit and what to do when you visit, how to show a college that you are interested
  • FINANCIAL AID  - Types, What to beware of, Scholarships
  • APPLICATION OPTIONS - The Common App, ED/EA/RD/Rolling 

    

This workshop is designed for both students and parents and it is encouraged that both attend. 

2 hours    Virtual

FEE - $150 includes student and parent(s)


ESSAY WORKSHOP

    Essay workshops held during the summer and fall and intended to prepare students for writing college application essays - includes brainstorming activities, discussions and feedback in a group setting. 


 This workshop is designed for students only. 2 hours - virtual


FEE  $199/student


COLLEGE MAJOR WORKSHOP


     For students who are unsure of the focus they want to take in their college studies. Includes an overview of possible majors and the careers they can lead to. This workshop also includes a discussion on a liberal arts and pre-professional curriculum. 


 This workshop is designed for students but parents may accompany their students. 


FEE  $200 includes student and parent(s)
